Revera has lit up its new Upper Hutt data centre, at the same time announcing plans for a twin data centre facility on a neighbouring 4000 square metre site.
Last year, Revera was appointed a Government Infrastructure-as-a-Service panel provider.
The new tier 3 data centre, at Upper Hutt's Alexander Industrial Park, was built using a "just-in-time" methodology, which general manager Robin Cockayne says more than halved the commissioning times that it has taken for other builds.
The 2500 square metre data centre was up and running in six and a half months.
