Transformation in the data centre is often referred to as a journey as organisations endeavour to modernise their existing technology infrastructure and aging facilities.

IDC, together with the iLead business school and consulting group in India, have developed a benchmark survey to help New Zealand organisations test their state of transformation relative to their peers in their country and in the region. Based on a set of criteria, the Transformative ICT Index survey weighs the responses based on size/scale, complexity, and strategic nature of the measurement variables.

The Transformative ICT Index is constructed on a scale of 100, showing greater degree of transformation as you reach that number. The three indexes show the varying maturity of discussions around the three tenants: Facilities, Infrastructure and Information.
