Crown Law Office
Moving is stressful. It needn't be.
Moving office is a nightmare – at least for IT managers, who must find ways to keep systems running, even as their servers are disconnected and packaged for removal.
Herein lies the beauty of infrastructure services. There’s nothing to move. The biggest challenge is locating a network connection at your new premises.
Compute as a service appealed to the Crown Law Office for three reasons: their server platform had to be upgraded, an office move loomed, and space was tight.
Before moving office, Crown Law switched to Revera Homeland Compute – a full-featured virtual compute environment available to government agencies under the Common Capability ICT Agreement.
The Crown Law’s IT team draws the capacity it needs, without losing any control. Remote network access lets them configure new VMs, retire others, and manage upkeep. It’s their own virtual IT environment, without the hassle of feeding and watering physical servers.
Drawing compute from Revera’s Homeland Government Cloud services platform made DR an easy addition. Thanks to Revera’s smartly networked Homeland data centre network, Crown Law is able to replicate production systems at the Revera data centre of its choice.
Every eventuality is covered.
Letting go of physical IT actually introduces more control.
