Compute resources on your terms.

Revera Homeland Government Cloud Compute delivers full-featured virtual compute environments to government agencies.

Get going with Revera-managed or self-service VM options that let you build, park, and share complex multi-VM environments, including VMware, Hyper-V, Oracle Virtual Machines (OVM), SPARC VM, and Database Machine services.

Start small, and scale up when the time’s right. It’s never been easier, or safer, to configure and activate your own VM environment.

How it works

Provision all the resources you need, or let Revera do it for you. You decide.

Provision VMs and specify compute units. Or leave the technicalities to Revera and draw compute resources from our Homeland Government Cloud services platform.

A local network of synchronised data centres underpins all Revera Homeland Government Cloud services.

Revera delivers virtual machine instances and associated infrastructure resources to standard specifications. Your virtual environment is supported by fully redundant components. Adding compute and storage to support extra workloads is quick and easy. And, in the event of physical server or component failure, all virtual server instances are configured to automatically fail over from one physical host server to another.

No more wrestling with complex IT infrastructure

Think of Revera Homeland Cloud Compute as dial tone – always there, and at your command.

Make costs predictable

Cloud services make IT costs predictable, visible, and easier to control.

Your VMs run on New Zealand’s leading cloud services platform

152vGB: currently the largest VM.

Memory is allocated in units of 1 vGB.

We’ll never leave you underpowered. Eighty per cent of your workload is assigned to a dedicated VM. The remaining workload is drawn from a pool of virtual capacity managed by Revera.

Case study

Crown Law Office

Moving is stressful. It needn't be.

Moving office is a nightmare – at least for IT managers, who must find ways to keep systems running, even as their servers are disconnected and packaged for removal.

Herein lies the beauty of infrastructure services. There’s nothing to move. The biggest challenge is locating a network connection at your new premises.

Compute as a service appealed to the Crown Law Office for three reasons: their server platform had to be upgraded, an office move loomed, and space was tight.

Before moving office, Crown Law switched to Revera Homeland Compute – a full-featured virtual compute environment available to government agencies under the Common Capability ICT Agreement.

The Crown Law’s IT team draws the capacity it needs, without losing any control. Remote network access lets them configure new VMs, retire others, and manage upkeep. It’s their own virtual IT environment, without the hassle of feeding and watering physical servers.

Drawing compute from Revera’s Homeland Government Cloud services platform made DR an easy addition. Thanks to Revera’s smartly networked Homeland data centre network, Crown Law is able to replicate production systems at the Revera data centre of its choice.

Every eventuality is covered.

Bottom line

Letting go of physical IT actually introduces more control.
